American Stand out competitor Ryan Hall gives a quick account of his experience at the World Pro No Gi 2011

Ryan Hall is in Abu Dhabi for the World Pro and due to his late arrival and concern about making weight competed one division above his normal in the NO Gi part of the World Pro. Here is his account of the experience:

"No-gi at the world pro didn't go as well as I had hoped. I drew Gilbert Burns (first round of the 74kg class) and screwed up pretty badly right off the bat and was down 6-0 in the first 20 seconds. Escaped the back and the follow-up armlock...then escaped a a toe hold to end up back on the feet. Overall, the first half of the match did not really go as planned. At all. Haha.(read more)
