Storm Kimonos a core Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle brand and pioneer in the US Jiu-Jitsu scene debuted in 1996. Storm Kimonos developed the Cohagen Gi with the help of Renzo and Rodrigo Gracie due to a demand for hard to get BJJ kimonos in the United States. The brand was the first to sponsor and support fighters like John Lober, Gordinho, Ricardo Almeida, Matt Serra, Nick Serra and John Danaher when they needed quality equipment during the early days of Jiu-Jitsu and MMA.
2012. Storm Kimonos has launched an entirely new line featuring products, which include the Typhoon, Typhoon 2.0 (T2), the 96 Competitor (96), Andre Galvao Equilibrio, as well as an entirely new line of casual wear. To celebrate the launch of the entirely new updated 2012 catalog and line of products Storm Kimonos is proud to announce the roll out of Storm Kimonos T1ER ONE.
The Storm Kimonos T1ER ONE program will consist of the top minds and athletes in the world of Jiu-Jitsu. These greats include Renzo Gracie and Andre Galvao as current Storm Kimonos ambassadors. The criterion for selection as a T1ER ONE representative is stringent. T1ER ONE is the tip of the spear for all sponsored Storm Kimonos athletes and endeavors. T1ER ONE represents a major leap in the development in the coordination of marketing, products, seminars and communications. The goal is to expand the development of Jiu-Jitsu globally via the T1ER ONE team.
We are proud to announce the addition of the Rafael and Guilherme Mendes to the T1ER ONE team. The Mendes Brothers represent a new generation of Jiu-Jitsu expertise helping to take the sport to the next level. Rafa and Gui Mendes are not only incredible athletes, but like Renzo Gracie and Andre Galvao, their ability to transmit and teach the art is unparalleled. Storm Kimonos is happy to welcome them to the family and wish them the best of luck this year!
