As I approached 411 E 17th Street in Costa Mesa I wasn't sure if I was arriving at the Grand Opening of the Mendes Brothers Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy or at a rock concert. The amount of people gathered outside the premises seemed to indicate the latter, but of course if isn't everyday when you have Rafa an Gui Mendes, Andre Galvao, BJ Penn, Makua Rothman and Alan Goes all in one place. Of course the chances of that happening increase when you RVCA's Pat Tanori invites his friends to the grand opening of the academy. (read more)
